- Vocabulary & Pronunciation: Time Off from Work
- Do not practise silently only. Speak aloud the new words, comparing the pronunciation carefully with the audio.
- Make sentences using the new vocabulary.
- Role play: Plagiarism
- Listen. Then discuss with a partner.
- Practise the dialogue by yourself and then with your partner.
- Record your dialogue on Chirbit or Audioboom and place it, with these instructions, on your blog.
- Write a brief trip report (no more than 100 words) for last Thursday's visit to TRL.
- If you didn't go, include your excuse and interview a classmate who did.
- Add pictures (feel free to steal from my FB).
- Have 2 classmates check your work before hitting the Publish button.
- time off from work: I want to get a time off from work this weekend because I'm so tired.
- maternity leave: Mary asked maternity leave yesterday. She will give birth for her son next week.
- I can't come back to China in Chinese New Year. I will miss out on family reunion.
- Bob told Selena his opinions straight out in the meeting.
- My mother wasn't happy when I left her hanging on holidays.
- We enjoyed a wild weekend last month.
- The president signed off on the treaty of attacking the terrorists.
